Caustic Soda 50% is a Sodium Hydroxide Solution. It is an Alkaline corrosive with a pH greater than 12. DIRECTIONS FOR USE CS50% is used in many applications from cleaning industrial equipment to adjusting pH in other liquids and surfaces. It is recommended that in new applications that further dilution is advised for trial uses. Food Industry CS50% is suitable for cleaning tanks and vats where fats have built up. Use approximately 125ml to 100L (1:800) and adjust ratio to suit surface and soils. All surfaces must be rinsed thoroughly after use and in most cases tested according to industry standards. General Cleaning Hard surface cleaning/ machinery use between 1:1000 to 1:25. You might use a detergent wash after this to help remove soiling then rinse thoroughly to change alkalinity back to a suitable level. Drains To assist with unblocking drains due to fat deposits use undiluted in small amounts. e.g. 1L for general house drains. Be aware of heat produced in this process and watch for splash back. Always rinse thoroughly.
